Food Service Supervisor

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Healthcare Food Service Supervisor to join our team. This role is pivotal in ensuring that our food service operations run smoothly and efficiently. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for providing exceptional customer service. As a Food Service Supervisor, you will oversee daily operations, manage staff, and ensure compliance with food safety standards while maintaining a positive dining experience for our residents.

Duties

• Supervise daily food service operations, ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation.
• Train, mentor, and lead kitchen staff to foster a collaborative team environment.
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, quality assurance and proper food handling procedures.
• Develop menu planning and food preparation to meet those we serve preferences and dietary needs.
• Assist with inquiries and feedback to enhance the dining experience.
• Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and dining areas.

Experience

• Previous experience in a supervisory role within healthcare food services is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of food handling, preparation techniques, and safety regulations.
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
• Excellent customer service skills with a focus on creating positive and pleasurable resident dining experiences.
• Experience in a healthcare kitchen operation is a plus.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $32.11-$33.45 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 37.5 per week

• AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (preferred)
