The Opportunity:
The Regional Food Service & Hospitality Manager is responsible for supervising all aspects of the food service operations to meet the nutritional needs of the residents and to ensure the effective and efficient preparation and delivery of meals to residents within legislative and budgetary requirements.What You Will Do:
- Is present during meal services, trains, coaches and supervises staff, ensuring a full staff complement is present in Food Services and assists serving food items as needed.
- Follows proper food handling procedures including maintaining foods in a temperature safety zone and weekly calibration of thermometers and ensures dining rooms are set up properly.
- Displays polite, efficient and spirit-of-service attitude towards residents, families and co-workers.
- Assists with updating daily diet sheets, communicating diet changes to food services staff and ensures special diets are being followed.
- Identifies maintenance needs and submits work orders as appropriate.
- Monitors food deliveries and services, also assisting with expenses and inventory.
- May assist in Human Resources functions, including training, coaching, scheduling, and employee performance management.
What You Will Need:
- Current membership with the Canadian Society of Nutrition Management (CSNM) or Registered Dietitian.
- Valid Food Safety Handler’s Certificate.
- Minimum of three (3) years of relevant dietary experience and at least one (1) year of leadership experience.
- Experience in training, supervising, and coaching front-line staff to achieve their best.
- Must be flexible and a self-starter capable of managing conflicts and making collaborative decisions.
- Excellent English language skills, both oral and written.
- Regularly demonstrates and models AgeCare values of Trust, Respect, Quality, and Teamwork.
- Must provide a complete and current (within six months) Vulnerable Sector Check (including a Criminal Background Check) or be willing to obtain one.
Please Note: Some travel within British Columbia will be required for this role.

Salary Range: $85,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year
Salary placement based on qualifications and experience.
