This position involves working as a Support Services Manager supporting TWO of our Long-Term Care Facilities.
Facilities: Willingdon Care Centre (Burnaby) and Shaughnessy Seniors Community (Port Coquitlam)
Position Details: Full-Time
Schedule: Willingdon (Monday) and Shaughnessy (Tuesday – Friday)
Salary: Starting at $35.00 – $37.00 per hour based on experience

Position Overview:
The Support Services Manager will oversee the daily operations of support services within our long-term care home. This role involves managing staff, ensuring compliance with regulations, and coordinating services that enhance resident care and facility efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and lead the support services team, including cooks, dietary, housekeeping and laundry staff.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and facility policies.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve service delivery and resident satisfaction.
- Manage budgets and resources for support services, ensuring cost-effective operations.
- Collaborate with nursing and care teams to ensure a holistic approach to resident care.
- Monitor performance metrics and implement improvements as needed.
- Conduct training and development programs for support services staff.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that encourages teamwork and excellence.
Qualifications:
- Certified member of the Canadian Society of Nutrition Management.
- Previous experience in a management role within food service, healthcare or long-term care setting.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and best practices in long-term care.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
