The Manager, Support Services manages the overall operations of Support Services which includes Food, Environmental Services and Laundry services within the Northeast Health Services Delivery Area (HSDA). The Manager is responsible for financial, strategic, and operational planning, management of the implementation of policies and processes, capital expenditures, cost control strategies and human resource practices. The incumbent networks within the regional structure for the integration of services.
Starting salary will be approximately from $106,026 to $132,533 and will be based on education, training, experience, and salaries of similar positions.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition/Dietetics with five (5) to seven (7) years recent experience in a similar role in an organization of moderate complexity, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• Member in good standing with the College of Dietitians of BC and Dietitians of Canada.
• Certificate of proficiency in Laundry and/or Environmental Services.
• Food Safe Level 1 and 2.
• Experience with CBORD Food and Nutrition, or other diet software an asset.
• Valid BC Driver’s License and access to reliable vehicle.

• Working knowledge of PICNet document: BC Best Practices for Environmental Cleaning for Prevention and Control of Infections in all Healthcare Setting and Programs.
• Ability to liaise effectively with staff at all levels of the organization and with representatives in other health care facilities, community agencies and academic institutions.
• Ability to operate related equipment.
• Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
