Why this role is significant

As a Food and Beverage Supervisor, you play a significant role in leading and supporting the FOH team. You serve as a management presence on the floor, responsible for ensuring the team’s daily energy and effectiveness, while upholding service standards and facilitating communication with the kitchen.

A day in the life

  • Lead the service on a daily basis and set the atmosphere and tone of the floor.
  • Guide our guests through the experience, offering suggestions and options designed to maximize revenue and enhance the guest experience.
  • Possess comprehensive knowledge of menu items and pairings in all venues.
  • Supervise kitchen output and delivery to guests; address guest feedback and handle QSA concerns.
  • Complete the management log-out at the end of the shift and ensure all closing duties are completed.
  • Cultivate an environment of excellent customer service by empowering employees and serving as a role model.
  • Monitor the team’s skills and identify areas for improvement through coaching, mentoring, and training.
  • Assist with onboarding and training programs for new employees.
  • Participate in creating and implementing departmental projects and strategic plans.
  • Ensure group functions and events are adequately accommodated and served.

What you bring to the team

  • 3+ years of experience in a full-service restaurant or combined experience and education.
  • Previous supervisor experience preferred.
  • You bring a professional, warm, and graceful presence.
  • You have strong problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to handle challenging situations calmly and effectively.
  • You bring strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
  • You possess a genuine interest in expressing, accumulating, and sharing wine and culinary knowledge.
  • Effective, efficient, and professional communication skills.
  • Ability to create a comfortable work environment that fosters learning, growth, and development.
  • An extremely guest-focused mindset, coupled with the ability to work with a variety of personalities.
  • You enjoy a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
  • You hold Serving It Right certification.
  • Bonus points if you have Bartending and/or Banquet experience!
